Covid-19 (Coronavirus)

Information and guidance for public, NHSGGC staff, and community-based services.  Hospital visiting restrictions now in place.

Face to Face Training

We have created an engaging, interactive HIV Anti Stigma course for all NHGGC staff, clinical and non-clinical, highlighting examples of person-centred, anti-discriminatory practice.

This training will support the NHSGGC's +ve campaign and a variety of KSF dimensions.

Module Aim: To support staff to work in a person-centred, anti-discriminatory way. Following completion of this module, staff will

  • be better informed about HIV
  • be able to outline the role stigma plays in relation to attitudes towards patients living with HIV
  • be aware of the effect of stigma and the impact on patients of stigmatising practice
  • be confident of what constitutes anti-discriminatory, inequalities sensitive practice and their responsibility to deliver it
  • know where to find information on HIV, stigma and discrimination

If you would like to attend one of the 3 hour sessions or to organise a shorter 1 hour training for your team or some colleagues, please contact:
