A feedback facility ensures that Team Brief addresses the issues raised by staff.

Celebrating staff success with style and pride
Last night the winners of our 2018 Chairman’s Platinum Awards, the overall winners of local directorate and partnership awards and the William Cullen Prize for medics were celebrated and applauded by hundreds of NHSGGC colleagues.
It really was a night to make everyone very proud of the job healthcare professionals – and our volunteers – do every day to deliver fantastic care and support to patients.
Helping us to sing the praises of the winners was the wonderful QEUH and RHC choir. My only regret was that I couldn’t have every single member of our staff there to share in the celebration of what we achieve for our patients and their families every day of the year.
There were many winners but special congratulations go to the team from Inverclyde Health and Social Care Partnership who wowed the judges and were awarded a special award for “outstanding excellence” in their delivery of the Home 1st Service.
The Inverclyde Home 1st Team were featured in a special commemorative front page of The Herald.

West Dun shows how it can be done!
West Dunbartonshire HSCP have achieved more than 70 per cent staff uptake of the flu vaccine and are setting the standards for everyone else across NHSGGC to follow.
Our staff flu vaccination programme is a key strand of our winter resilience campaign and an important part of our duty as healthcare professionals to protect ourselves and our patients from infection.
The target for NHS staff this year is to achieve at least 60 per cent uptake.
Glasgow’s Dental Hospital staff are also high flyers in the flu vaccine stakes having achieved 56 per cent uptake within the first four weeks of the campaign – so well done to them too.
Our peer immunisers and the programme of mass vaccination clinics are continuing and I urge all other partnerships and directorates to help us ensure we all do our best to protect against infection and get vaccinated.
Other hospital sites and partnerships still have a way to go before they get closer to the target so please do everything you can to encourage uptake in your place of work. A graph showing uptake levels on hospital sites and HSCPs is being prepared and will be shared with everyone to highlight what progress is being made – and where more needs to be done to help more staff roll up their sleeves!
Supporting staff affected by Brexit
On Friday of last week a survey “went live” on our HR Connect web pages. It’s a very simple survey giving any member of staff the opportunity to let us know that they may be impacted by Brexit.
I greatly value the contribution of staff from the EU. The survey will allow us to provide information and support to staff affected by Brexit over the next few months.
