Opportunities for Young People

Welcome to NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde

Anne Macpherson
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde recognises the importance of employing young people within our workforce.

By investing in developing our young people’s knowledge and skills we are ensuring we have an appropriately skilled workforce to meet current and future demands for a high standard of care for the patients we serve.

Within these pages you will find information aimed at young people aged 16 - 24, their parents, carers or teachers regarding jobs, careers and other opportunities

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is the largest health board in Scotland and we have an exceptionally broad range of job and career opportunities.  In these pages we have included useful links to careers information, apprenticeships and other vacancies and our schools work experience programme.

I hope as you spend some time learning more about what NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde can offer you will be inspired to pursue employment within the NHS.  That might mean requesting to come for some work experience, applying for one of our current vacancies or apprenticeships, or deciding to take up a college or university course that will eventually lead to an NHS career.

I hope you find these pages informative and if you have any suggestions about information you would wish to see within this section please contact us by clicking here.
